Frequently Asked Questions

​How do I download my pattern?

You will see a link to the PDF on the Order Confirmation page on your computer screen just after checking out.  A link to the PDF will also be emailed to you.  Depending on your email provider, the email may be re-routed to clutter or junk email folders, so please check these folders if it doesn't appear in your inbox.  If you do not see the link or email, please email me using the button at the bottom of this page.  


The suggested yarn in the pattern is no longer available. Where can I find a good substitution?

YarnSub is a great site to find alternate yarns.  Enter the pattern yarn in the search box and the site will scan yarns for the same fiber content, weight, qualities, gauge and more.  

 
What happens to the balance on my gift card if I only purchase one pattern?

Your balance will be recognized and automatically calculated with each purchase.  When you return in the future to purchase your next pattern, enter the same gift card number.  If your purchase exceeds the balance on your gift card, the remaining available funds on the gift card will be deducted from the total due on the check-out screen, and you can enter a credit card for the remaining balance due.

 
Do gift cards expire?

No.

 
How do I join the loyalty program?

You can join the loyalty program by becoming a site member. Click on the profile (or 3 lines on a mobile device) in the upper right corner to get started.  If you’re already a member, you’ll see your loyalty points on your My Rewards page. If you’re a visitor, you’ll need to sign up before you can earn or redeem points.

 
How do I earn loyalty points?

Earn 5 points just for joining.  Earn 1 point for every $1 spent (rounded down).  Cashmere members earn 2 points for every $1 spend (rounded down).  Receive birthday bonus points for Merino and Cashmere level. See more on the Loyalty Page.

 
How do I view my points?

Go to your My Rewards page on your site to see:

  • Your current points balance

  • Points earned and redeemed

  • Rewards you can redeem

 
Can I earn points without joining the program?

Yes — you can earn points even if you haven’t joined the loyalty program yet. These points still count toward your total, but you can only redeem them once you become a site member. 

 
How do I redeem my points?

You can redeem points for pattern discounts or free patterns through your My Rewards page. 

 
What if I don’t see my points or rewards?

Make sure you’re a site member and logged in. If you still don’t see them, check your My Rewards page and confirm your membership status. If you’re a visitor, join the site first.

 
When I redeem awards & my reward balance drops, do I move down a tier?

Tier status is based on earned points, not on the current balance.  Once you’ve reached a higher tier, you’ll remain in that tier as long as you continue to earn the minimum number of points for that level every two years. 20 points to remain in Merino tier.  40 points to remain in Cashmere tier.

 
Why can't I purchase merchandise and patterns in one transaction?

Since different shipping methods are required for merchandise and patterns, they must be purchased separately.   All patterns will be delivered by a link to the downloadable PDF.  Merchandise will be shipped to your address and an additional shipping charge applies, which is why these orders must be separate. 

 
What is the shipping cost for merchandise?

Shipping costs are $4.50 and items are shipping via United States Postal Service First Class Mail. Tracking numbers are provided.  

 
When do tangible items ship?

Most orders ship the same day, or within 24 hours.  
 

Do you ship merchandise outside of the United States?

Addresses must be a U.S. address in one of the 50 states.

Donna Estin Designs is committed to creating high quality knitting patterns and offering products for knitters that meet the highest of standards. 

  • Patterns:  delivered instantly in a downloadable PDF and are non-returnable and non-refundable.  

  • Balms, Skin Care Products, and Merchandise: Please check the size and product carefully before checking out.  Refunds can be issued if the order is cancelled prior to the products shipping out.  To cancel an order, please email using the below button.  Once they have been shipped, balms and skin care products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
